THE ongoing war in Iraq will make the world a more dangerous place, London's Green MEP Jean Lambert warned thousands of peace protestors at the mass rally in Hyde Park on Saturday (March 22).
Speaking to tens of thousands following two marches through central London organised by the Stop the War Coalition, Mrs Lambert said: "This illegal war will create more problems than it solves.
"This war is dividing the world. It is illegal, immoral, will fail to stop the spread of terrorism and will not make the world a safer place," she said.
The only MEP to address the rally, Mrs Lambert also said Blair's attitude to war and the US was creating new divisions in Europe just as many hoped we were beginning to heal the divisions of the past.
