MEP GOES BACK TO SCHOOL IN MICROSOCIETY PROJECT

GREEN EURO-MP BRINGS THE EU TO THE CLASSROOM IN WIMBLEDON

Event: London Euro-MP discusses role of the EU with 'MicroSociety' pupils
Place: Priory Primary School, Queen's Road, Wimbledon Time: TOMORROW,
Wednesday, May 26th, 1.15pm

LONDON'S Green Party Euro-MP Jean Lambert goes back to school tomorrow - to discuss her role as an MEP - and the politics of the European Union - with pupils at a Wimbledon primary school taking party in a 'MicroSociety' project.

Mrs Lambert, herself a former teacher, said: "It will be a delight to be back in the classroom - and a pleasure to have such a receptive audience.

"The pupils at Priory Primary School have worked hard to establish their own 'MicroSociety' as part of the project run by Kingston and Merton Education Business Partnership.

"I am looking forward to talking with them about the politics of how their MicroSociety is organised - and it's relations with the outside world."

Pupils at Priory Primary School have been running their 'MicroSociety' - a model of society with a government, an economy and even its own currency - for ten weeks.
