The last few weeks have been game-changing in terms of the climate emergency debate. Climate activist Greta Thunberg addressed MEPs in Strasbourg whilst Extinction Rebellion held an inspiring week long protest that brought London to a standstill.  Must remember for this month is that you make sure you’re registered to vote, as well as checking with your EU friends know if they want to they can vote in our MEP elections on 23 May!

Thanks to the EU’s intervention last night, the UK appears to have shuffled back from the ‘no deal’ cliff edge. But we are still at risk of either leaving the EU next month with Theresa May’s dismal deal, or crashing off the ‘no deal’ cliff edge in just a few weeks’ time.

Tomorrow many thousands of us will be taking to the streets to send a clear message to those who lead our country: it’s time to put the biggest political question of our lifetimes back to the people!

March with us, march with another group, gather some friends. If you’re not able to make it along in person, please support us on Twitter using the hashtag #PutItToThePeople. You could also donate to help fund the event. We must make our voices heard however we can.

The Green bloc will be assembling at Stanhope Gate W1 from 11.00 am, and Green Party co-leader Sian Berry will address the group at 11.30am. We’ll be embarking on the route at 12 noon.

Bring your friends, family and your placards. Let’s hit the streets in our thousands, and make a noise that Parliament can’t ignore!
