Jean Lambert and Keith Taylor are the Green Party MEPs for London and South East England respectively. Together, they work on a wide range of issues in the European Parliament and across their constituencies including transport, energy, migration, workers’ rights, animal welfare and human rights.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and strategic communications professional who can support them to raise their media profile and publicise their work to a wide range of audiences.
You will have demonstrable experience in securing positive media coverage, producing publications and will have experience of working with online media. You will have excellent research skills and a commitment to Green politics and the European Union. A highly organised individual, you will be able to work on your own initiative, prioritising your workload and simultaneously managing a number of projects. As an excellent team player, you will be confident talking to people at all levels, in person and on the phone.
Based: MEP offices, Old St, London, with occasional travel to Brussels, Strasbourg and UK locations as appropriate
Hours: 28 hours (4 days) per week.
Salary: £28,000 per annum (pro rota of £35,000) inclusive of London weighting, plus pension contribution.
Contract: 12 months, subject to probationary period
