Jean talks about why she supports the Child Rights Manifesto – written by a coalition of 14 children’s organisations – and how important it is to make it really work across all political fields…

“The Children’s Rights Manifesto is really important to the Greens – after all, we’re a movement that really looks to future generations so therefore we really have to take children’s rights seriously…. We come from an approach where the child’s interests come first… It doesn’t matter your status – as a child you have a right to healthcare, you have a right to education, to sound nutrition and to an adequate income as well… so that also means we’ll be taking this up within the anti poverty agenda too…”
